Booking tickets online
To avoid having to wait, we recommend that you book your ticket online via the ticket shop of the state museums and collections.
Free tickets for annual season ticket holders and children up to the age of 18 years, concession tickets and the one-euro Sunday ticket can also be obtained from this online ticket shop. Please have a valid photo identity card ready as well as your ticket, in case you are asked prove your entitlement to a discount.
Only a certain number of days are currently available for booking. If your preferred date should not yet be available, please try again at a later date. Once you have booked your ticket, it will be sent to you by e-mail. Please print the ticket out or show it on your smart phone at the entrance.
Tickets are also available at the cash desk should you decide to visit the museum spontaneously.

Shrove Tuesday, Good Friday, 1 May, Corpus Christi, All Saints’ Day (1 November), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day
The museum is open on the following public holidays:
New Year’s Day, Epiphany (6 January), Easter Monday, Ascension Day, Whit Monday, Assumption Day (15 August), German Unity Day (3 October), Boxing Day (26 December)
Special opening times:
On the first Sunday of the Oktoberfest the museum is open from 11am to 7pm due to the costume and shooting parade held on this day.
